The route of the water in Benissoda, the village “where the mountain and flat land embrace”, is a comfortable circular walk suitable for the whole family. Starting from the washing place of the main irrigation channel, we will enter an almost millenary farming space, which was planned by the Muslims. We will come across fountains and mountain areas, and we will go down through areas of dry land presided by country houses that were typical in the 17th-19th centuries. From the washing place we go up taking a path and leaving the cemetery at our right side, which will take us to the Higher Pond, inherited from the Muslims. Then, we will arrive to the area where the fountains L’Olivera and La Sitja spring, and the Arena caves, linked to a disappeared tile factory. If you deviate from the main route, you will arrive to the “Casa de la Palmera” (Palm House), from the 18th-19th centuries. The main path continues through the pine forest of the Pantà (a reservoir from the 18th century) that will take you –enjoying pleasant views- to the way of Agullent’s cemetery (a village with several paths). Then, we will go down to the village going by the house Buenos Aires, a farmhouse from the middle of 19th century, which belonged to a landowner family from Albaida, the Bataller-Madramany family.
