The hermitage dedicated to the Santísimo Cristo de la Fe, patron saint of Atzeneta d'Albaida, rises on the outskirts of the town, on a gentle elevation that constitutes an excellent viewpoint, in a well-kept wooded environment with benches and a recreation area. It can be accessed by the wide steep ramp that constitutes the Calvario road with its whitewashed housesby vehicle from the vicinity of the detour to neighboring Carrícola.

The current temple was built between 1833 and 1890 on top of another older and more modest hermitage built in 1709 -at the same time as Calvario-, and a later one that was built between 1756 and 1761. Currently the complex is in perfect condition, as it has been recently restored.

This patron Christ of Atzeneta is popularly known as El Morenet, an affectionate name given to him because of the tan color that the image acquired when the Napoleonic soldiers threw it into the fire, although they were unable to burn it. It is moved in procession to the parish during its feast on September 23. When it is returned to its hermitage at nightfall, the bearers of the walk turn the image so that it looks at all the places in the valley, but very especially they turn it towards Albaida when they reach a certain street, since the residents of that city make the same gesture towards Atzeneta when they take their patron saint, the Virgin of Remedy, out in procession.
