It is the mother ditchmain channel of an irrigation system of the times of Al-Andalus (9th century, possibly before 929), which through its 4000 m of length provided water to the orchards of Atzeneta, Albaida and El Palomar. Throughout its layout, under Atzeneta, several mills lined up. It has a series of public laundries and doors open to the "capterreres" of the houses, which allow washing and scrubbing without leaving home. The canal walk runs between orchards and gardens, houses of the bourgeoisie of 1900, and the ships of the old foundry of the Rosas family.
