BÈLGIDA
An intimate municipality with important prehistoric sites and vestiges of the Iberian and Roman culture, an example of this is the Mariano Jornet Perales archeology collection. Stresses the church of San Lorenzo Mártir s.XVII, with a Renaissance decoration; the sacristy is in the baroque style with a base of Valencian tiles from the 18th century. The hermitage of San Antonio Abad, the hermitage of Calvary and the tower of the old palace, probably from the 14th century: it is a Muslim fortress with a rectangular floor plan with ashlar walls. Numerous sources run through the municipality such as: the Plaza de la Constitución fountain, the Bajo fountain, the “Grapat” fountain and, of course, already inside Benicadell, Font Freda and the Red Caves. Everything, a magnificent landscape to discover.
