Torre del Moro has its origin in the slender tower of medieval times built in Muslim tapial (14th century). Was built by the Lúria family, the first lords of Bellús. Then their successors, the Bellvis family of Bèlgida added new constructions to the medieval tower, until turning it all into a house-palace from XVI-XVIII centuries. As a curiosity, the building was personally visited by King Felipe II of Spain (I of Valencia), during one of his trips and he stayed there having lunch with all the court that accompanied him. At the moment it is restored and it is visitable. From its terrace you can admire magnificent views of the Albaida Valley and the place of L’estret de les Aigües.
