HISTORY

It has its origin in a Muslim farmhouse that King Jaime I ceded to Berenguela Alonso along with the tower of the Castellet, which is now in the Palomar area, in1270. In 1273 also passed through donation from the conqueror king to the bishop of Valencia . The barony of Carrícola was linked in 1477 by Cardinal Lluís Joan del Milà i Borja and later entered the Orense and the Tamarit. It was a Moorish place and counted before the expulsion with 56 houses.
