Built on the old hermitage of the Santos de la Piedra, in the highest part of the Olleria area, the Convent of the Capuchin Fathers has two collections: one of glass and the other of painting. It is an austere building consisting of a small cloister and a terraced garden, which houses a collection of glass in a closed room around the cloister. Stacked on shelves we can see a wide variety of pieces arranged in a confusing way: water jugs, glassesbottles of wine that reflect the old wine tradition of the town, which if we approach them we will recognize them dated in XVI, XVII, XVIII centuries. With these nobler pieces are cohabiting centerpieces, colorful fish, fruit bowls of more recent elaboration and serials and a furnace of baking of the glass that reminds us the most handmade forms of the manufacturing process. Opposite is the painting collection of Marziali, a painter who, during his stay in the convent and using the spatula technique, captured scenes of the daily life of the Franciscans. From an interior courtyard you access the cellar where a modest ethnographic exhibition has been installed. It is advisable to take a stroll through the garden, an old orchard, and enjoy the presence of a monumental myrtle, accompanied by other varieties of shrubs, all of which are watered by the water of a generous raft.
