Castelló de Rugat, also known as Castelló de les Gerres, is a town that has opted to rediscover its roots, in this case the mud. The town hall has promoted a new construction space that recalls the architecture of traditional brick factories. The Workshop Museum has a rectangular floor plan, but it is not just a simple nave: the roof reproduces the classic refractory brick vaults, a solid, handcrafted brick on which the fire has imposed its reddish and orange colors. The floor also reflects these tonalities and between them there is a pure, diaphanous and appeasing luminosity provided by the stained glass windows, all works by the Albaidian artist J. Sanjuan. The space is designed to be a place that allows the dissemination of traditional heritage, and encourages new forms of creation. To complete the visit we offer a tour of a village brick factory that opens its doors to learn about the different manufacturing processes of this product.
