Ecology and crafts - Carrícola

Carrícola was a pioneer in the implementation of organic farming, since the 80s when the proposal comes to convert the garden of Carrícola to organic production and farmers mostly register. From that moment all the initiatives will be based, up to the present, on criteria of environmental and human sustainability. Currently, in addition to organic production, a series of artisans produce natural products, cosmetics, textiles, bread, sweet and salted cakes. In the Sunday market, they set up their stops in the town square to offer visitors their own products, as well as natural and organic products and agricultural activities with a biological tradition. Carrícola is a small town of approximately one hundred inhabitants where an agricultural activity is maintained with an important biological tradition, increasingly widespread.
