It dates from the XII-XIII centuries, of the Casals. Early Gothic Church usually called “of the Conquest”. It was in the center of the old village of the Casals Miranda, depopulated due to the expulsion of the Moors and Jews. For many years it was used as a hospital dedicated to the healing of leprous, until the foundation of Fontilles. The hermitage and the surroundings have a high archaeological value. A correct restoration would avoid the disappearance of one of the few remaining monuments of the time of Jaime I.
