Its construction dates from the second half of the 18th century. The building is structured in a single nave of three sections, covered with round of cannon and with chapels between the buttresses. It is a work of rural architecture, little academic, of great simplicity formal and decorative. The church of Benissuera remained in possession of the parish of Sant Pere until 1535, when was erected as an independent parish.
