It has traditionally been based on agriculture (olive and vine) and the pottery industry. Within the irrigated crop, corn, alfalfa, tobacco and vegetables are harvested. The dry land, much wider, is mainly destined to the vine (for wine and for table in the variety Rosetti) and olive trees whose oil is made by a local cooperative. The almond tree has occupied a considerable surface for years. Livestock farming is not important. In its term there are good clay quarries that have been regularly supplying the raw material to the flourishing industry in the past the jars destined to the container of oils and wines. In the last thirty years these industries have undergone a transformation; the jars have been abandoned and the reproduction has focused on tiles, bricks and other ceramic materials for construction.
