The location of the mill is from the Moorish period but the Casal Molinar dates from the 18th century and was built on the initiative of the Lord of El Ràfol and the Hoya de Salem, the Marquis of Bèlgida. The mother ditch supplied the mill and irrigated the orchard. This mill has a raft to accumulate the water that  irrigated almost 100 of the 500 "fanegadas" that made up the orchard of El Ràfol de Salem. The orchard of Rafol de Salem was watered for four days, since the three remaining days corresponded to the New Orchard of Castelló de Rugat. This mill was acquired and rehabilitated by the town hall in 2000-2001.
