It is one of the emblematic elements of the city.
Started in 1500 and finished in 1501, it is the work of the masters and stonemasons Pere Ribera, from Xàtiva, and Joan Montanyés. It consists of two arches of half a point, and still slightly pointed, supported on three buttresses, the central one is a formidable foot of ashlars in the shape of a keel. Its external surface is made of stone blocks, although the railing was built with the remains of several wall portals demolished at the end of the 18th century. The bridge will mark a reorientation of the Vila's communications. In 1520-1521 the Germanies of Ontinyent led to the construction of the Camí dels Carros, from the descent of which you can see an impressive view of the Vila and the Raval, with the houses stacked on top of each other. Also in the 16th century, the Tirador dels Peraires will be built, where the masters manufacturers extended and let the wool cloths dry. At the beginning of the seventeenth century, the transformation of the caves on the banks of the river (where the most humble families lived in the vila) were documented in the houses of the current Cantereria Street.
