RUGAT Landscape and hospitality

HISTORY

Depopulated by the expulsion of the Moors in 1609. From 1960 he suffered rural emigration. At the southern end there are some foothills of the Sierra de Benicadell, with heights of more than 400 m. The center is an alluvial plain formed by the trawls of the ravines of Llopis and Llop, which give rise to the few vegetable gardens that this town has. The northern half is again injured by gentle hills covered with vineyards, among which the hill of Rugat and the hills of Arnet and Alberón stand out. In the extreme north the altitude decreases again in the Foia del Peu and in Els Fondons, crossed by the ravine of the same name. Here vineyards also predominate.
