Introduction:
Emblematic route that runs through all the villages that rest at the foot of the Sierra del Benicadell, which is the highest mountain in the region with 1,104 meters of altitude. It offers us magnificent views and excellent natural attractions of the first order. EL RÀFOL DE SALEM
It was an old Muslim farmhouse closely linked to the neighboring town of Castelló de Rugat, with which it shared the production of ceramic jugs, very famous everywhere. A fact that supports this long tradition is that, in 1609, when the Moors were expelled from the population, there were around 53 production centers.
The parish church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles stands out, in a neoclassical style that was built around 1745. The different sundials, the ceramic panels, the municipal pool, and the hermitage of San Blas, original construction from the s. XV, although it has undergone very important transformations from the 18th century until today. Throughout its municipal area, there are numerous examples of the so-called water architecture, such as: the dam of the millthe Missena, the Molino de Bajo, the Molino del "Ràfol" and the "Molinet de l'Horta". gastronomy include sweet potato cakes, especially in San Blas and during the Christmas festivities.
