We continue the route passing through the town of Albaida, where we will discover wax, household linen, typical pastries and organic beer.
In the early 20th century, Albaida was a leading city in the production of wax at the state level, and competed with such important production centers as Barcelona. The traditional production system basically consists of taking a cotton wick (which takes fast and disintegrates) and making repeated dives until obtaining the appropriate diameter and size. Currently, beeswax has been replaced by paraffin (derived from petroleum). To purchase wax items you can contact: Cerería Vila Hermanos (96 290 15 60), Àngel Moya Cotillas, Nieves Revert Rodriguez (96 290 13 85), Santiago Mollà Blanquer (96 290 10 96) and Sucesores de Navarro y Compañía (96 290 14 68).
Another artisanal product is the fine “al * fondant” walnut and yolk pastry that we invite you to try in any of the local pastry shops.
Also, another product to highlight is organic beer for its ecological and biological ingredients, (96 290 05 42).
