The town of Salem rises on an elongated hill, cut off at the sides by two deep ravines and at 366 m altitude s.n.m. Are the ravine that bears the name of the town (O) and that of Castellar (E). Its streets are structured around the two squares where are, respectively, the town hall and the parish church of San Miguel Arcángel. The consistorial house and other farm houses of the village conserve very interesting and characteristic elements of traditional architecture, such as iron forging bars; the touches, knobs and Pernet; the devotional ceramic panels, such as the one in the corner of Horno, representing the San Miguel pattern (end of the 18th century); altarets such as San Vicente Ferrer, etc.
