The Wayang puppets will be the stars of World Puppet Day at the Albaida International Puppet Museum (MITA).

The Wayang puppets date from the 16th century and are UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Originally from the north coast of Java, under the influence of Chinese puppet theater, they are puppets made of three-dimensional wood in the case of the Wayang golek and buffalo skin in the case of the wayang kulit.
