Jaume I, king of Aragon in the 13th century, left his mark in a region such as the Vall d'Albaida, where he founded Christian villas (Bocairent, Ontinyent, Albaida, Montaverner, La Pobla del Duc and Llutxent) that we will visit on footelse on horseback, by bicycleby car, along a path that crosses from end to end through the center of the region: from the foot of the Mariola mountain range to the barony of Llutxent (Jaime I route itself), with a total of 49 km divided into 5 stages. As a supplement, an 11 km route is offered that runs from Pobla del Duc to Benicadell mountain range, named the Moorish path: through Castelló de Rugat, Rugat and Aielo de Rugat, which remained populated by Moors.
The landscape and cultural itinerary is designed to cover it in different stages where the discovery of a rural environment of pleasant places is combined: easy-to-transit roads, optimal for family and quiet tourism; of cities, towns and villages with palaces, churches, castles, local trails, museums of all kinds, hotels, country houses, restaurants, etc. The varied range of possibilities allows you to fully enjoy a welcoming land, splendid and proud of its natural and cultural heritage, as well as its historical identity.
